AUXware International Inc. was originally established January 1st, 1998 as MCCI (Mentor Computer Consulting Incorporated) by Joe Hatcher as an insured Sole Proprietorship. Joe was asked by several companies to come to work for them as a private contractor. The result was beyond fantastic! Joe met so many new people in so many places, adding to his client list often.
A short time later, it was discovered there were other companies with the same name ... and the MCCI.com domain was already taken ... so Joe changed the name of his business to AUXware Intl. Inc. and secured the domain name AUXware.com as well.
The year 2000 was most likely the most dreaded year in computer history. Many Programmers never programmed for this rollover. Because of this, an enormous number of people were needed in the workforce to go through every program, in-house and vendor, and look for potential Y2K problems. In the first three years of business, Joe averaged 3,000 hours per year on-site at various companies around the globe. This gave him a chance to introduce himself and his skills to several companies, and word of mouth has expanded his customer list globally.
Joe Hatcher has been in computers for over 37 years. He started as a Mainframe Operator and was shortly thereafter promoted to Systems Programmer.
Joe then advanced into the world of computer technology as a Software Engineer at Computer Associates and was soon promoted to Level-II Support.
He started AUXware Intl. Inc. and it still proves to be healthy today.
Joe worked several years as VP of Enterprise Management and Automation at ABN AMRO Bank, when he was outsourced to IBM Global Services to do the same job for the same company for 5 additional years. He was laid-off from IBM in 2009 in the midst of the financial disaster.
Joe now works for the State of Illinois as a Programmer and loves his job. He loves picking-up contract jobs on the side to meet new people, go new places ... and keep his technical skills up-to-date.
